4 young drug traders were arrested along with 1.5 kgs ganja by the police from Pajakhola area of village Jewdhara under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district on Wednesday afternoon (at 3 pm), according to a delayed report received here. They are Mijanur Rahman Khan (28), son of one Ainal Khan of village Digraj, Smar Mondol (35), son of one Sree Mondol of village Kainmari, Hridoy Hawladar (27), son of one Malek Hawladar of the same village and Lablu Shaikh (29), son of one Lutfor Shaikh of village Sonakhali. They all hail from Mongla Upazila under the same district.
Md. Sayeedur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Morrelganj PS told, acting on secret information that in the afternoon a dispatch of drug is being taken away to else where from Mongla Port via Pajakhola area of Jewdhara village a police squad led by Shuvankar, 2nd Officer (SI) of the PS raided the area at about 3 pm, arrested the aforesaid drug traders and recovered two bags contained with 1.5 kgs ganja from their possession.
