Forest guards of Sharankhola Forest Range in the Eastern Division of Sundarbans (in Bagerhat district) arrested 4 (four) poachers along with a trawler and huge quantities of nylon made traps used for catching the catch-banned spotted deer of Sundarbans from Charkhali area of the forest Range at Monday mid night. On the following day (Tuesday) they were sent to the court at Bagerhat after lodging a case with the local PS against them under Forest Act. It is learnt from a source of the forest department that at the (mid) night while a contingent of the forest guards were discharging their normal patrol duties in the forest they found a trawler in Panjrafuta canal.
