Members of Coast Guard in separate drives arrested three fishermen along with four crore meters current net from the Meghna river in Gojaria upazila.
Mustafizur Rahman, petty officer of Gojaria coast guard, said they conducted drives from Thursday night to Friday morning and seized three crore metres of current net and a trawler.
They also arrested three fishermen- Shah Alam Bepari, Shukur Kha and Shah Alam- in this connection.
The three fishermen were fined TK 1000 each for using current net.
Later, the seized current nets were burnt in Gojaria launch ghat area.
