A mobile court on Monday fined four brick kilns Tk 12 lakh in Sadar and Gheor upazilas of Manikganj district for running those without licenses.
The Department of Environment (DoE) with assistance of the local administration conducted the mobile court in the four brick kilns.
Executive Magistrate of the Monitoring and Enforcement Wing of DoE from its Dhaka headquarters Rozina Akter led the drives and fined the brick kilns.
Mesars AIC Bricks, Mesars Abdul Al Sobhan, Mesars SAB Bricks, and Emika Bricks were fined Tk 3 lakh each while Mesars ARC Bricks was broken down.
