Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four alleged gamblers conducting a overnight drive in Dhaka bus stand area here.
The arrestees were Md. Rabiul Islam, 35 of Alinagar Bhutpukur, Md. Golam Masum, 50 0f Haripur Boardghar, Md. Okimuddin, 43 of Alinagar and Md. Rabiul Islam, 51 of Belepukur under Chapainawabganj municipality.
RAB said, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided the Bandhon Bahumukhi Samabaya Samity office near Dhaka bus stand at around 11-50 pm and arrested the four persons as they were gambling there.
RAB also seized playing cards and Tk. 22,000 cash from them.
Later the arrested persons were handed over to the police of Chapainawabganj Sadar Model thana.
A case was also recorded with the police station in this connection.
