36 rivers marked rise, 49 fall

Water levels in 36 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 49 stations recorded fall.
Among the 90 monitored water level stations, three river stations have been registered steady while three rivers are flowing above the danger mark, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Monday.
The Kobadak at Jhikargacha, the Kushiyara at Amalshid and Sheola are flowing above its danger level by 61cm, 22cm and 22cm respectively.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 9 am yesterday.
A total of 106 millimeters (mm) rainfall was recorded at Teknaf and 50 mm at Bogra.
