The 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of City Bank Limited was held on Thursday, at Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka. Mohammed Shoeb, Chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting while Vice-Chairperson Tabassum Kaiser, Directors Deen Mohammad, Aziz Al Kaiser, Rubel Aziz, Hossain Khaled, Hossain Mehmood, Rajibul Huq Chowdhury, Savera H Mahmood and Managing Director and CEO of the bank Sohail R K Hussain were also present. A large number of shareholders and the bank’s senior officials also attended the AGM.
In his welcome speech, Mohammed Shoeb mentioned that despite the challenges the banking industry is facing, City Bank has strongly held its position as one of the most profitable banks in Bangladesh in 2017 and achieved many business successes and recognitions.
The shareholders unanimously approved 19 percent cash dividend and 5 percent stock dividend as recommended by the Board of Directors.
