33 KV electric cable was damaged during the expansion work of the road in front of Election Commission Secretariat on Wednesday night. It has created risk to shut down electricity supply in the Jatiya Sangsad and adjacent areas. Project Director of Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd. (DPDC), Mahmud Mahudul Haque said it. He said the contracting firm involved in the expansion work of the road was liable for this. The project director said, around 500 meters cables were damaged due to careless work.
