The government has allocated 314.41 tons of rice under special Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) programme for the poor in 10 upazilas and two pourosavas in the district during the month of Ramadan.
A source in the Rangamati District Relief office told the journalists that over 31,441 VGF card holders will get the allocation made by the Ministry of Food and Disaster Management. Each family will get 10 kgs of rice, he added.
As per direction of the district administrations, upazila administrations in association with union VGF committees and public representatives have started preparing the list of the beneficiary families.
