Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a daylong drive on Sunday filed 3,108 cases on charges of traffic rule violation.
Traffic division in their simultaneous drives on the city streets also realised over Taka 23 lakh as fine, said an official release.
As many as 334 cases were lodged for driving on the wrong sides, 60 other cases for using hydraulic horn, five for using hotter and beckon light and 12 others for using tinted glass.
Some 61 cases, including 35 video cases, were lodged against drivers of different modes of vehicles on charges of talking over mobile phone while they were driving.
It also dumped 36 vehicles and wrecked 637 others.
