Some 31 people were killed in mob beating across the country in the first ten months of the current calendar year, according to a report by an independent rights body.
The highest number of incidents of killings took place in Dhaka and Khulna divisions from January to October this year while no such death occurred in Sylhet and Barishal divisions, data released by Ain o Salish Kendra showed.
A total of 10 people were killed by mob in Dhaka and Khulna respectively while five such incidents of deaths took place in Chattogram, it added.
As many as 65 people were killed in mob beating in 2019 while 37 and 50 people were killed in 2018 and 2017 respectively, the rights body disclosed.
