At least 300 bottles of phensidyl were seized from the car of a senior assistant secretary of Public Administration Ministry in Khadghar area of Comilla’s Chandina upazila on Saturday morning.
Law enforcers picked up the driver Abul Bashar in this connection. But the car’s owner Abdullah Hakkani was not in the car during the raid.
Iliotganj highway police outpost Sub-Inspector Monirul Islam said that police raided the car as part of regular drives on Dhaka-Chittagong highway area around 7:00am and found 300 bottles of phensidyl inside the car.
The driver said Senior Assistant Secretary Hakkani is the owner of the car. The car has also a sticker of the Public Administration Ministry.
The car was heading towards Dhaka from Comilla, the SI said.
A case was filed with the Chandina Police Station in this connection.
