A court of Dhaka on Monday framed charges against 30 accused including Juba Dal President Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal and BNP’s Educational Affairs Secretary Khairul Kabir Khokon in a case filed with Motijheel Police station of the city for subversive activities.
Magistrate Aminul Haque of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of |Dhaka also issued arrest warrant against 26 Juba Dal leaders and activists, including Saiful Alam Nirob, as they did not appear to the court. The court rejected their bail plea in the case.
Of the accused six including Alal and Khokon were present in the courtroom during the hearing. Later, the court fixed November 5, to record the depositions of the witnesses.
The case was filed in 2011 and the charge has been framed four years after the case was lodged.
