3 youths killed in road crashes

At least three youths were killed in separate road crashes in the city on Friday. One of them was a college student who died after a bus ran over him.
The deceased has been identified as Iran Bepari, 19, a first-year college student of Golam Mostafa Model College at Demra, victim’s cousin Masudur Rahman said.
Sub-Inspector Mozammel Huque of Demra Police Station said that the incident took place around 11:00am at Mosto Majhir intersection.
Locals alleged, two buses of Ramzan Paribahan and Shadhin Paribahan were competing with each other on the road when one of them killed Iran.
Neither of the drivers could not be caught.
At the death of Iran Byapari the local people blocked the Demra – Rampura and Demra – Jatrabari roads after the Jumma prayers to protest the incident, the police official added.
The road blockades were removed around 4:30pm after the police high command went to the spot and assured the protesting people of taking actions.
The protesters also vandalised around 15 vehicles during the road block.
In Khilgaon two youths died in a road crash on the Khilgaon flyover in city.
The deceased were identified as Noman, 16, and Tuhin, 17.
The deceased were on a motorcycle when the driver, one of them, lost control and rammed into the railing of the flyover around 4:15pm, Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of
Dhaka Medical College Medical College and Hospital’s police outpost, told the reporter..
They were rushed to the emergency unit of DMCH where the doctors declared them dead.
