Three tyre security measures have been taken in DC hill area in city during celebrations of the first day of the Bengali New Year Pahela Boishak today.
Additional police and RAB forces will be deployed in the area of DC hill and its adjoining areas. Police and RAB forces will remain alert from evening of Sunday .
Separate programs have been chalked out for the Boishaki celebrations at CRB, BAWA school premises, Shilpakala Academy, Patenga sea bearch including principal venue of DC Hill. Law enforcers about 2000 will be deployed in these separate venues of the Boishaki celebrations. Additional Police commissioner of Chittagong Banaj Kumar Majumder told that following the discussions with the organizers of the Boishaki Utsab, police taken appropriate measures of security in the city.
Metro police sources said traffic department will also perform duties along with law enforcers to control the transport movement in the Patenga sea point as most the visitors of the Boishaki fans will go their with transports.
RAB sources said 230 members of the elite forces will patrol in the venues dividing separate groups and will patrol in city . Among them 82 members with plain dress will also be deployed in the venues and the venue of Chittagong University, sources said.
