A case has been filed against owner, driver and helper of a bus in connection with Sunday’s death of a school student in a road crash at Darshana in the city.
Shafiqul Islam, sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station filed the case on Sunday night against owner Sharifa Begum, driver Insan Ali and helper Badsha Miah. Police arrested the driver and the helper at night.
Jion, a class X student of Collectorate School and College and son of Zahidul Islam of Badarganj upazila, was crushed under the wheels of a bus in the area. Enraged by the incident, locals vandalised eight vehicles, including an ambulance and put up barricade on Rangpur-Dinajpur highway.
