Three Bangladeshi nationals were shot and wounded by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Kushkhali border in sadar upazila early Sunday.
Of the victims one was identified as Ziaur Raman, son of Atier Rahman of Choygharia village in sadar upazila. The identities of two other victims could not be known.
Abu Raihan, chairman of Kushkhali Union Parishad, said the BSF troops from Khalisha camp under Basirhat thana opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi
nationals while returning home with cattle from India, leaving three people injured.
Of the injured, Ziaur Rahman was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Major ATM Ahsan Habib, operation officer of Satkhira-38 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), said he heard about the incident.
