At least three children were killed when a boat carrying Rohingyas from Myanmar capsized in the Bay of Bengal in Sabrang area of Tekhnaf on Thursday morning.

The boat with around 54 Rohingyas who were fleeing Myanmar to Bangladesh sank at Khurermukh around 4am,
said Moinuddin Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Tekhnaf Police Station.
Although 51 managed to swim ashore, three children went missing, he said.
Later, locals recovered the bodies and buried those at a local graveyard, the OC added.
Meanwhile, some 86 Rohingyas of 25 families, including the boat capsize survivors, entered Bangladesh through different points of Sabrang on Thursday, said Md Delwar Hossain, a representative of the district administration at Sabrang Relief Centre.
