Three members of a family, including two children, were killed and another was injured in a road accident in Boarghor area on Dhaka-Tangail highway of Kaliakoir upazila in the district on Monday night.
Officer-in-charge of Konabari Highway Police Station Md Hossain Sarkar said the accident took place in the area when a Dhaka-bound passenger bus from a northern district collided head-on with a Tangail-bound motorcycle from Dhaka, leaving motorcyclist and his two children dead on the spot and his wife critically injured.
The details identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, added the OC. On information, police recovered the bodies from the spot and the injured was admitted to Kaliakoir Upazila Health Complex, said the police official.
