Four people, including three members of a family, were killed and 8 people injured in a triangular collision involving a truck, a human hauler and a battery-run auto-rickshaw at Kanthaltala on Khulna-Satkhira road in Dumuria upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Sathi Begum, 28, her two sons Tutul, 7, and Tamim, 4, residents of Madhupur village, and Tahura Begum, 17. Officer-in-charge of Dumuria Police Station Subhash Biswas said when the collision took place among the three vehicles when they were passing through a
turning point on Khulna-Satkhira road around 11 am, leaving Sathi Begum and her son Tutul dead on the spot.
Among the injured, Tamim and Tahura succumbed to their injures on way to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
