Three new judges of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court were sworn in on Tuesday. Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain administered the oath-taking ceremony held in the Judges’ Lounge of the Supreme Court premises.
The new judges are Justice Zinat Ara, the second female judge at the Appellate Division, Justice Abu Bakar Siddiquee and Justice Md Nuruzzaman.
President Md Abdul Hamid, on Monday, appointed them in the Appellate Division as per the Constitution, taking the total number of Appellate Divison judges to seven. Judges of the Appellate Division and the High Court division were present at the oath-taking.
