Three murderers were awarded life- term jail for killing a youth at bordering Burimari village of Patgram upazila in Acting District and Session Judge Siddiqur Arefin Chowdhury announced the verdict in his court on Wednesday noon.
The convicted are identified as Ashraful Islam Tufan, Faridul Islam Bachchu and Jobayed Hossain Suzon all are residences Burimari village of Patgram upazila in the district.
According to case reference, the convicted three persons tortured and chopped to a local youth Sazedul Islam over borrowing Tk 500, and they threw the body in the roadside paddy field at Burimari village at evening on 31 August in 2006. Hearing Sazedul’s groaning local people rescued his in critical condition and admitted to Patgram upazila
health complex. Before the dead, in the hospital bed, Sazedul told the killers’ name to police and his relatives.
The convicted three persons wanted borrowing Tk 500 from late Sazedul Islam but he didn’t agree to give them the borrowing money, resulting the convicted persons became agree on him, and killed him finally, police said.
