Three teenage motorcycle riders have been killed and another person injured in a collision with a truck at Lohagarha in South Chittagong.
The accident took place in Dighirparh area around 5pm on Friday, Dohajari Highway Police OC Kawsar Ahmed said .
The deceased were identified as ‘Tanjir’, 16, ‘Shakil’, 16, and Md Shoaib, 15, from Shukchharhi village of Amirabad Union Parishad.
The OC said Tanjir and Shakil died on the spot when the truck hit the motorcycle on which all the four victims were travelling.
Shoaib died when he was being rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital from Lohagarha Upazila Health Complex, Lohagarha Police Station OC Md Shahjahan said.
Dohajari Highway Police OC Ahmed said injured Akter Hossain, 20, was undergoing treatment at Lohagarha Upazila Health Complex.
The truck driver fled with his vehicle after the accident, a sources of CMCH said.
