Detectives on Monday arrested three members of a syndicate involved in leaking question papers of different
examinations.
The law enforcers also recovered 850 fake National IDs, 300 unregistered SIM cards and 900 photos from their possessions during the drive in the capital’s Demra.
The arrested syndicate members are Abul Kalam Azad, Mofazzal Hossain alias Faruk and Hira Chowdhury.
Earlier on Sunday, detectives arrested three other members of the syndicate.
Briefing reporters at the DMP Media Centre on
Tuesday, Joint Commissioner (DB) Monirul Islam said the detectives arrested the trio based on statements given by the three members arrested earlier. Arrested Azad, Faruk and Hira are bKash agents. They were involved in creating bKash accounts using fake national IDs and then used those accounts for illegal transactions, Joint Commissioner (DB) Monirul Islam said.
