Bangladesh Bank (BB) has announced cash subsidy to three more agro products against their export proceeds. The products include tinned pineapple, canned baby corn and canned aloe vera (Grithakumari).
The central bank in a circular issued last week to all authorised dealers of foreign exchanges said that the three processed agro products would be entitled to receive cash subsidy at the same rate of the cash incentive that has been being offered to exporters of vegetable, fruits and other processed agro products.
Exporters of vegetables and fruits along with agro-processing products and potato are currently getting 20.0 percent cash incentive.
BB said that the cash subsidy would be given to the three new products against their shipments from October 1 and onwards.
Earlier in July, BB announced a list of 14 exportable products for providing those with cash subsidy in the current fiscal year (FY) 2015-16.
The exporters will receive cash subsidy ranged between 3.0 and 20.0 percent on the products against net repatriation of the FOB (free-on-board) prices from July 01, 2015 to June 30, 2016.
