At least three more kids were critically injured in a bomb explosion when they took three substances from the nearest garbage of the house in Fatullah of Narayanganj.
The incident occurred at West Rasulpur of Fatullah Upazila of the district.
The victims were identified as Asif, 5, Arif, 3; both were the son of day labourer Titu Miah, and Akhi Akter, 12, daughter of security guard Abul Hossain of the same house.
Abdul Mannan, owner of the house, said the three children of his two tenants picked up four round-shaped substances from the pile of garbage beside
the house. One of those blasted with a big sound on the house compound, leaving the trio badly burnt.
Hearing their screaming, locals rushed to the spot and took them to local hospital. Later, Ankhi was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), police said.
Golam Mostafa, Inspector (Operations & Community Policing) of Fatullah Model Police Station, confirmed the matter to media that one of four bombs blasted instantly. Three were recovered from the spot. Investigation is going on.
