3 killed in Sherpur road mishaps

Three persons, including a driver, were killed in a road accident at Chitholia in Nakla Upazila of Sherpur district on Sunday night.
When a bus and CNG-operated auto rickshaws collided face to face. Three more were injured in the accident.
 The deceased were identified as Bilal Hossain(22) the driver of the auto rickshaw son of Shamsul Haque at Khunua Batala area of Sherpur Sadar upazila, Habibur Rahman(50) , son of Saruzzaman at Geramara village of Jamalpur district and another deceased of the auto rickshaw would not be identified.
Among them, Bilal Hossain died at the Nakla Upazila Health Complex. Habibur and another passenger died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital at about 9pm while taking treatment.
 Doctors said the condition of the injured three passengers is critical. They are Mehedi Hasan (22) at Kaziarchar area of Jamalpur district, Jewel Mia (29) son of Dudu Mia and Halima Begum (35) daughter of Hanif Uddin at Rampur area in Chandrakona union of Nakla upazila.
Police and local sources said a CNG-driven auto rickshaw carrying passengers from Sherpur to Mymensingh reached the Chithalia area of Nakla at about 7pm when the bus collided face to face coming from opposite direction. At that time, the auto rickshaw was twisted and the bus fell on the ditch from the road.
 Hearing the shouting local people rushed to the spot and rescued six passengers. They admitted the passengers at the Nakla Upazila Health Complex. Doctors there declared the driver Bilal Hossain dead. The other five critically injured were sent to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital and two died there while undergoing treatment.
