3 killed in road accidents

Three people were killed and five others injured in separate road accidents in Gazipur, Narsingdi and Chapainawabganj districts on Sunday.
In Gazipur, a man, named Asaduzzaman Khokon, 42, was killed and his son injured when a bus hit their motorcycle on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in front of Anarkali Cinema Hall in Tongi in the morning Quoting locals, police said the accident took place in the area around 10am when an ‘Ajmeri Paribahan’ bus hit the motorcycle of the father and son, leaving Asaduzzaman dead on the spot and his son Hamim
Ashfaki, 16, injured. Hamim was admitted to a local hospital. In Narsingdi, a construction worker, Milon Miah, 25, died on the spot and three CNG-run auto-rickshaw passengers sustained injuries as a Dhaka-bound truck from Sylhet ran over Milon before hitting the three-wheeler on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Char Sujapur in Shibpur upazila around 10:30am. Khandakar Imam Hossain, officer-in-charge of Shibpur Police Station, said the injured were rushed to Narsingdi hospital.
In Chapainawabganj, a pedestrian, Abdus Salam, 33, son of Daud Hossain of Koaladia in Shibganj upazila, was killed as a truck crashed into him while crossing the Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid road at Kolabari at noon.
Officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station Asiqur Rahman said police seized the truck but its driver and his helper managed to flee the scene.
