Three members of Inter district three auto thief gang were arrested along with their private cars and handed over to the police after being beaten up by the mob in Patlashi Bazar area of Niguari Union under Pagla Police Station on Thursday.
The arrested are Mohammad Pappu, 33, son of Mohammad Badsha Miah of
Malmada village in Islampur upazila, Liton, 26, son of Mohammad
Mizanur of Shahjatpur village in Naogaon upazila and Helal Uddin Babu, 30, son of Mahbubul Haque of Mangal Kandi village in Sonagazi upazila.
According to local, auto drivers and police sources, five passengers, including a woman, in a private car chased Naim’s auto rickshaw from Tuk Bypass of Niguari Union under Pagla Police Station on Thursday .
Pagla Police Station OC Mohammad Rasheduzzaman said three members of
the inter-district gang were arrested from the spot after receiving information from locals. A case has been filed in this regard.
