3 injured in BCL infighting at JnU

At least three activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Jagannath University (JnU) Unit were injured in a series of factional clash over establishing supremacy on the campus on Thursday.
The clash took place between the followers belonging to Tarikul Islam, joint-secretary of JnU unit BCL, and the followers belonging to Tanveer Rahman Khan, organising secretary of the unit.
The seriously injured are Md Shah Alam of
 Mathematics Department (Session: 2010-11). He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Two other injured were Tariqul Islam of Management Studies (Session: 2011-12)and Md Rasel of Bangla Department (session: 2013-14). They were admitted to National Medical College.
According to eye-witnesses, the clash began between the two groups over previous establishing supremacy on the campus.
Kotwali Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Hasan said, on information of clash police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. To avert the further unwanted incidence, additional police forces have been deployed on the campus.
