Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in three separate drives on Friday night arrested three youths with huge quantities of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) instruments from city and district. The arrested were identified as Salauddin, 30, Emon, 22, and Choton 23.
Being informed, separate teams of RAB-7 conducted the raid on houses of Lalkhan Bazar area of Khulshi thana, Hamzarbag area of Biyazid thana in the city and Faticharia sadar area of the district and arrested Salauddin, Emon, and Choton around 10 pm to 12 am, RAB sources said.
The RAB team during the drives also recovered huge quantities of VoIP materials including SIM cards, GSMA SIM Box gateways, SIM ports, 3G modems, routers, laptops, computers and GSM outdoor antennas from the houses.
