Members of Narcotics Control Department (NCD) in a drive arrested three youths with 192 litres of liquor from Charlakkya Ferry Ghat area under city’s Karnaphuli thana on early Thursday.
The arrested were identified as pickup van driver Mohammad Faridul Alam, 24, Mohammad Nezam Uddin, 22, and Mohammad Faridul Alam, 25. Acting on secret information, a team of the NCD searched a pickup van coming from Bandarban and recovered 192 bottles of liquor in Ferry Ghat area around 1.30 am, said Mukul Jyoti Chakma, Deputy Director of NCD, Chittagong.
The pickup van was also detained and a case was filed in this connection, he added.
