RAB-12 has arrested three people including ancient archeological statues (similar to wooden stones) worth crores of taka in a raid in Tarash of Sirajganj. On Wednesday afternoon, on the basis of secret information, a vigilante expedition team of RAB-12’s special company led by RAB-12’s Deputy Commander Major Mohammad Mashiur Rahman conducted the operation in Baidyanathpur village of Baruhas union of the upazila. He arrested three men while buying and selling through smugglers.
At that time two mobile phones were recovered from them. The arrested accused are Sadek Hossain, 50, son of Mofiz Uddin of Baidyanathpur village, Golam Saqlain, 40, son of Nizam Uddin of Penguari village and Sriram Sarkar, 38, son of Shri Antim Sarkar of Kusumbi village.
RAB-12 Media Officer Assistant Superintendent of Police Muhammad Mohiuddin Miraj said, The arrested accused have been handed over to Tarash police station with the recovered evidence to file a case under Section 25-B / 25-D of the Special Powers Act, 1984.
