Staff Reporter :Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) seized fake foreign currencies in the capital’s Tejgaon area on Thursday afternoon. Of these, Rs 300,000, are Indian currencies and Rs 2,770 are Pakistani currency and some US Dollar bills.They also arrested three persons, including a Pakistani citizen, in this connection. The arrested men are ‘Rehman’, Mozammel Haque and Faruq Ahmed, said Mohiuddin Ahmed Commanding Officer of RAB-2.Rehman is a Pakistani national, while the other two are Bangladesh citizens, the RAB official said. “The three are members of a fake currency racket.”The arrested men are being interrogated in this connection, he said.A case has been filed with the Tejgaon Police Station in this connection.
