Police in separate drives arrested three people and recovered four geckos, a lizard type creature locally known as ‘takshak’ from Humayun Rashid Chattar and Hazrat Shahjalal Dargah Gate areas in South Surma upazila of the city on Wednesday night.
The arrestees were identified as Manir Uddin,60, a resident of Dharakul village in Companiganj upazila of Noakhali district, and Abdul Majid,48, and Julhas Miah,48, both residents of Mullapara village in Panchhari upazila of Khagrachhari district.
