Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three indigenous people along with three AK-47 rifles, two foreign pistols from a hotel in Bandarban district town on Thursday noon.
The arrestees were identified as Lal Pial Tha Bom, 48, Ba Mu Bom, 45, hailing from Ruma upazila and Sin Thai Chakma, 44, hailing from Naikhongchhari upazila of the district.
Tipped-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the hotel 12pm and arrested the trio along with three AK-47 rifles, two foreign pistols, four magazines and four rounds of bullet, said Lt Col Miftah Uddin, Commanding Officer of RAB-7.
