Three people were found dead from separate water bodies in Sunamganj, Habiganj and Sylhet on Sunday.
Two of the deceased were identified as Ali Ahmad, 32, son of Golap Miah, of village Ashambura of Patharia union in Sunamganj and Helal Ahmad, 24, son of late Nurul Islam, of Madhya Rajnagar of Islampur union of Companiganj. Another deceased’s identity could not be confirmed yet, police said.
Patharia Union Council Chairman Aminur Rashid told that police found the throat-slit body of Ali Ahmad under a culvert on Lalpur-Achinta road at Gourarang union in Sunamganj early morning after being informed by locals.
Sunamganj sadar police officer-in-charge Shahidur Rahman suspected that the victim’s body might have been dumped after killing him in another place. Injury marks were found in different parts of the body, he said, adding that the body was sent to Sunamganj General Hospital for post-mortem examination.
