A mobile court in Patuakhali’s Bauphal upazila on Thursday night sentenced three fishermen one year in imprisonment for catching hisha fish from the Tentulia River defying the government ban.
Three convicted are Md Shahjahan, 38, Mosharraf Hossain, 22, and Shohag Rahman, 22, residents of Borhanuddin upazila in Bhola. Executive magistrate and also the assistant commissioner (Land) Anisur Rahman Bali conducted the court at night and passed the order.
