At least three drowned here on Sunday and two others remained missing.
One deceased was identified as Rubel, 16, son of Abul Kashem of Napitkhali Village under Islampur Union in Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila, while two others could not be identified.
On Sunday noon, Rubel drowned at Inani sea-beach in Ukhia Upazila of the district. At the same time, three others were rescued alive.
On the other hand, Faruk Hosen, a dramatist, who drowned at Penchardwip sea-beach under Ramu Upazila on Sunday afternoon, has still remained missing.
Again, on Friday, during their Borsha Utsab (rainy season festival), five Rakhain youths drowned in the Bay of Bengal. Of them, two have been rescued alive and two dead, while one remained missing.
