3-day ‘Showcase Malaysia’ begins in city today

A three-day single-country trade fair, titled “5th Showcase Malaysia-2017” will begin today (Thursday) at the International Convention City, Bashundhara in the city aimed at boosting trade and investment ties between the two countries.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu will inaugurate the trade fair as the chief guest while Acting High Commissioner of Malaysia in Bangladesh Idham Zuhri Mohamed Yunus will be present on the occasion as the special guest, said a release here on Wednesday.
Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) is organising the event in collaboration with the Malaysia High Commission in Dhaka and Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur and it is being supported by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Malaysia South-South Association (MASSA).
“The showcase will provide a great avenue to attract a large number of businessmen, professionals and visitors and the objective of the showcase is to achieve its purpose to promote Malaysian products and services,” said chairmen of the fair organising committee Syed Moazzam Hossain at a press conference at National Press Club on Tuesday.
