The three-day British Council’s annual conference titled “Going Global 2014” for leaders of international education starts at the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC), Miami, USA from today (Tuesday). The conference will be concluded on May 1.
Each year Going Global attracts over 1,000 registered delegates from across the tertiary (further and higher) education sectors and a variety of other industries with perspectives on international education. ‘Inclusion, Innovation and Impact’ is the main theme of this year’s Going Global 2014 Conference. The conference consists of a series of sessions taking the form of panel debates, multi-presentation sessions and poster presentations. The event provides the platform for networking and has become a fixture of the global education calendar.
This British Council Bangladesh is delighted to host a very high profile team of 11 delegates from Bangladesh in the Going Global 2014 Conference in Miami. There are three sessions by Bangladesh delegates. Minister for Education, Nurul Islam Nahid, Dhaka Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DMCCI) President Rokia Afzal Rahman, President of Bangladesh Federation of Women Entrepreneurs are going to speak in two sessions and Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, BRAC Chairperson is going to present in a plenary session.
