Three students received bullet injuries in a factional clash between the activists of two groups over establishing supremacy at Shahjalal Hall of Chittagong University early Sunday.
The injured students were identified as Shuvo Barua, a third year student of Pali department, Russel, also a third year student of English Department and Farhad Hossain, a Master’s student of Islamic History and Culture Department. Witnesses said the clash erupted between two groups of resident students over establishing supremacy at the campus around 1.45 am last night. Campus sources said two university shuttle train compartment-based student groups — Varsity Express (VEX) and Choose Friends with Care (CFC) — exchanged gunfire during the clash that left the trio injured.
