A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Saturday sealed three companies after finding them to sell unsafe water in the city.
The court, therefore, fined 10 persons of Faith drinking water at Farmgate and ‘V’ drinking water at Tejgaon fined Tk nine lakh for selling unsafe water.
“They did not follow purification process. They filled the jars with water in dirty environment also. It is violation of laws,” said Sarwar Alam, the Executive Magistrate of RAB Headquarters.
The court sealed three water companies at Tejgaon after finding them to violate laws.
The mobile court conducted the drive against unsafe water selling in Kawranbazar, Farmgate and Tejgaon areas from the morning to the evening.
