A couple and their daughter allegedly took their own lives by taking poison at their home in Sreenagar upazila of Munsiganj district on Wednesday night.
The deceased were identified as Md Momin, 50, a fish trader of the village, his wife Lubna, 44, and their daughter Sanzida.
Sreenagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Alamgir Hossain said that police recovered the bodies based on information.
“They killed themselves by taking poison around 7:30 pm but the causes behind the suicidal
incidents are not yet known,” the OC said quoting the locals.
We are instigating the incident, the police official said.
The bodies were sent to Munsiganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said .
