Police arrested three Bangladeshi students receiving education in India from Laxmidari border point in Sadar upazila on Tuesday night while they were returning home from that country illegally.
The arrestees were identified as Abdur Rahim,27, son of Abdul Motaleb, Mahmud Hossain,21, son of Abdul Momin, and Yeasin Ali, 22, son of Zaker Hossain of Fatika village in Hathazari upazila of Chittagong district.
Of them, two studied at Shahrampur Madrasah in Uttar Pradesh of India while another at a local college in the area.
Tipped off, a team of police arrested the three while they were entering Bangladesh from India through the border point around 9pm without passport, said sub-inspector Abdul Momin of Sadar Police Station.
