Staff Reporter :Police Friday arrested three persons, including two women, for their alleged involvement in the sensational triple murder in city’s Moghbazar area on Thursday night. The arrested females have been identified as China Begum and Champa Begum, aunties of Kailla Babu, the mastermind of the killing. On the other hand, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested an accomplice of Kailla Babu from city’s New Market area on Thursday night. The bodies were handed to their relatives after postmortem in the Dhaka Medical College andHospital (DMCH) morgue on Friday afternoon. A case was filed in this connection, police said. Ramna Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mashiur Rahman confirmed the news and said that a team of law enforcers conducted a drive in Sonalibagh area of Moghbazar and arrested China and Champa around 1:00am. Earlier on Thursday night, the CID arrested an accomplice of Kailla Babu from city’s New Market area. The police official said that the incident took place as they refused to pay extortion claimed by the terrorists. But the locals sources said that the incident had link to the occupation of railway land. Law enforcers interrogated Chaina and Champa for their suspected link with triple murder at Moghbazar, the OC said. He further said that victim Ranu’s brother Shamim has filed a case in this connection. Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP), Tejgaon Zone, Deputy Commissioner Iqbal Hossain said that police quizzed them. If any evidence of their involvement in the incident was found against them, then they would be shown arrested. Otherwise they would be released. Earlier on Thursday night, three persons were killed and another sustained bullet injury as miscreants shot them at the victim’s residence around 8:15pm centering long standing dispute, another sources said.
