Members of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested three arms traders with a
double barrel country made firearm from Chamragudam area under city’s Kotwali thana on Friday night.
The arrestees were identified as Monsur Ali, Mohammad Mohiuddin and Kamrul Islam. A K M Mohiuddin Selim, Officer in Charge of Kotwali thana said, on secret information, a team of Kotwali thana police raided at Al-Imam hotel under city’s Chamragudam area at 11 pm last night and arrested them with a country made double barrel gun while they were waiting to sell the firearms.
A case was filed with Karnaphuli thana in this connection.
