India leveled the Twenty20 International series 1-1 after defeating Bangladesh by eight wickets in their second T20I match at Rajkot in India on Thursday.
Sent into bat first, Bangladesh made 153 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, India coasted home making 154 for the loss of two wickets when they had 26 balls to spare.
India had a formidable start as Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, the two openers piled up 118 runs for the opening partnership before Dhawan was cleanly bowled out by Aminul Islam Biplob.
Then Rohit Sharma was caught at the deep mid-wicket by substitute Mohammad Mithun off Aminul Islam when India’s total was 125 for the loss of two wickets.
Rohit Sharma hammered a windy 85. His 43-ball innings was decorated with sex sixes and six fours.
Dhawan made 31 from 27 balls featuring four fours.
Aminul Islam Biplob bagged a couple of wickets instead of 29 runs.
Earlier, Naim notched up a sparkle 36. His 31-ball innings saw five fours, while Soumya hit a fine 30 from 20 balls including two fours and a sixer and
Mahmudullah scored 30 from 21 balls with four fours.
Besides, Liton Das made 29 from 21 balls featuring four fours.
