Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives and Cooperatives Minister Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain said the authorities have earmarked a total of 1,936 spots for slaughtering sacrificial animals in 11 city corporations during Eid-ul-Azha for ensuring better waste management.
“I urge the people to slaughter their sacrificial animals on the designated spots fixed by city corporations to supplement the efforts for proper waste management,” he told a meeting titled “Slaughtering Sacrificial Animals and Better Waste Management” recently held in the conference room of the Local Government Division (LGD) here.
