A 29-member contingent will represent Bangladesh in the 5th Asian Beach Games to be held in Da Nang city of Vietnam from September 24 to October 3 next.
President of Bangladesh Basketball Federation Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin will lead the Bangladesh contingent which comprises of 23 athletes and six officials.
Bangladesh will compete in five disciplines of sports — Beach Handball, Beach Kabaddi, Beach Athletics, 3X3 Basketball and Beach Volleyball.
Kabaddi and Athletics teams will leave the capital for Vietnam on Tuesday, followed by handball and volleyball teams on Thursday while Basketball team will depart on Friday, all at 11:45 pm by Singapore Airlines flights.
